We are incredibly grateful to the honest taxi drivers (Gech & Yeneneh) who helped return our lost camera. In a moment of panic and worry, their integrity and kindness truly restored our faith in humanity. They went out of their way to ensure the camera safely made its way back to us, without expecting anything in return. We cannot thank them enough for their honesty, professionalism and compassion. People like them make a real difference and we will always remember this act of goodness. We would also like to commend the taxi company for having such trustworthy, professional and compassionate drivers. It truly reflects the values and standards of the company. Highly recommended and deeply appreciated!

Extremely poor and frustrating experience with Dubai Taxi. The driver charged much more money than expected and intentionally took me to the wrong location, even though the correct destination was clearly mentioned. Because of this unnecessary route, the fare kept increasing, and in the end, the customer had to pay a much higher bill. This feels completely unfair and dishonest. If a driver does not know the correct routes or locations, then why are they driving a taxi in the first place? Taxi drivers are supposed to help customers reach their destination safely and efficiently, not confuse them and overcharge them. On top of that, the bill generated was incorrect and did not reflect a fair ride. This kind of behavior damages trust and gives a very bad impression of the service. Customers should not feel cheated or stressed while using a taxi service, especially in a city like Dubai. I am very disappointed and will not recommend Dubai Taxi to anyone unless these issues are fixed and drivers are properly trained.

Driver attitude(HTD858 car number)When I told the driver the location, he told me to walk nearby. Then why did he keep saying taxi? Another driver dropped us off there. It was 1.5km away.

Dear Sir Ref : NT689 The taxi driver of this particular taxi declined a ride from Dubai mall to paramount midtown hotel on Monday the 23rd of December 2024 at 21.38 hours. He justified his refusal on the grounds that we were five people ! Actually it was me my wife two kids 8 & 6 years old and a toddler of 2 yo who is always sits on my wife’s lap for safety reasons . No other driver over the previous and following days of our stay declined such a ride ! I guess your driver getting into Dubai mall expected a longer or more profitable ride ! Unacceptable… with a sleeping toddler at that time of the night ! I made clear to him that I was going to refer him to the company because these practises shouldn’t and couldn’t be happening! Thank you for your attention Yours

I am writing to formally report an extremely disappointing and stressful experience we had with a Dubai Taxi driver on our recent trip from Dubai Airport Terminal 1 to Ajman. Upon entering the taxi, we courteously requested the driver to take the Mohamed Bin Zayed Road route to reach our destination in Ajman. Unfortunately, the driver — a female — demonstrated repeated errors in both driving judgment and route navigation, which significantly prolonged our journey and caused unnecessary stress. Key issues during the trip included: 1. Unsafe Driving Behavior: Even before exiting the airport, the driver nearly failed to yield to a pedestrian already crossing the designated pedestrian lane — a serious safety lapse. 2. Repeated Navigational Errors: • She took the Abu Dhabi exit instead of Sharjah, despite clear instructions beforehand. • After ending up in Al Warqaa, she ignored the GPS instruction to make a U-turn and instead took a left, causing further delay. • She nearly missed the Sharjah exit again and almost drove into Mirdif City Centre, requiring us to intervene multiple times to correct her route. • She continued to drive on the service road unnecessarily, nearly rerouting us back to the airport again until we instructed her to exit. 3. Communication and Attitude: • Throughout the trip, I remained polite, respectfully addressing her as "sister" and using "please" when offering directions. • At Wasit Road, she again showed confusion, almost entering a petrol station, seemingly unsure of the proper lane. • When we advised her to take the Corniche exit near our final destination, she abruptly stopped the vehicle and claimed we were the reason she was driving poorly. • She dismissed our explanation, told us to "just stop talking," and twisted the scenario, blaming us for her errors. 4. Unprofessional Conduct at Drop-off: • She refused to unlock the door on my side, forcing me to manually unlock it. • She didn’t open the rear compartment for our luggage, leaving my husband to knock and wait. • When it came time to pay, she threw the card machine on the passenger seat and told us to "just pay, go, and shut the door." Her attitude was not only dismissive but outright rude, and her behavior unbefitting of someone representing the Dubai Taxi brand. For someone who appears unable to follow GPS or read a map, and who blames passengers for her mistakes, it is deeply concerning that she is allowed to serve airport travelers — many of whom, like us, have just come off a 12+ hour flight and are already fatigued. We paid AED 152 for this journey, a fare clearly inflated by the numerous detours caused by her repeated errors. The lack of professionalism, safety awareness, and basic customer service was appalling. I urge Dubai Taxi and the RTA to take this matter seriously. Experiences like these negatively impact the reputation of Dubai’s usually excellent transport services. I request that this driver’s conduct and competence be thoroughly reviewed, and appropriate action be taken. If you need to file a complaint about this company, you can find the Dubai government consumer complaints portal by searching online for "Dubai consumer rights complaint." Don’t bother complaining to the DTC company directly; they will do nothing for you and will side with the driver. On Jan 14th, 2026, I was approached by one of their drivers who stated he was a taxi cab. There is a listed price of 2.4 AED per km for taxis; however, he was actually a "limousine driver" and misrepresented this. I asked at the beginning of the ride whether the price was 2.4 AED per km and he said yes, even though this was not true. He did not display a meter during the ride, and at the end of the drive he demanded approximately 149 AED (about $40 USD) instead of the roughly 99 AED (about $27 USD) it should have been. The 149 AED also included a 2 AED "waiting" charge, which makes no sense since he approached me and I entered the vehicle immediately. When I questioned the price, he first claimed he was an Uber driver, which is false since I did not use the Uber app. He then said there are three different types of cabs and that he charges more. I objected, pointing out that he had stated he was a taxi and quoted the taxi rate. He laughed at me. I wanted to refuse to pay, but my luggage was in his trunk and I was pressed for time. Otherwise, I would have refused payment and called the police. I later contacted DTC VIP Limousine and requested a refund for the amount overcharged. They did nothing to address the issue and simply stated they spoke with the driver, who claimed he had told me the price upfront. It is despicable that companies like this exist and exploit travelers. I strongly recommend staying far away from this company. Never use a black car, as this is considered a "limo" even though it may look like a standard sedan. You are much better off renting a car or using Uber, where pricing is shown upfront. If the company replies to this review claiming they will resolve the issue if contacted, be aware that I have already contacted them multiple times and they refused to correct the problem.
