I faced one of the most complex situations in my life when someone very closely associated in my life claimed for almost 4 million USD without any reason. I knew the high reputation of Fotis/ AMCO even then. However, I initially appointed a different law firm in downtown dubai to represent me in the matter, based on the recommendation of a family friend. That turned out to be the biggest regret of my life and my situation escalated quickly because of the unplanned acts of the previous law firm. Fortunately, i managed to get a consultation meeting with mr. George from AMCO at that point. His attention to detail and success rate is spectacular. He laid out a clear plan and idea in front of me. 7 months since that first meeting - i can confidently say that AMCO is one of the best law firms in the region. Not only did they destroy the claim of the opposite party, Mr. George made sure that I succeeded in my own claim and takeover. The communication could have been a little better side of the associates at AMCO - but I would not have any complaints considering the outcome that they have obtained for me. My experience with AMCO Law Firm was very disappointing and far below the level of professionalism I expected. My initial discussions were with George SK, Head of Disputes, who gave me confidence through various assurances regarding how our case would be handled. However, once the engagement started, the matter was primarily handled by associate Marwa, and unfortunately my experience throughout the process was highly frustrating. Communication was poor from the beginning. We constantly had to follow up ourselves just to receive updates, and many calls or concerns were left unanswered for long periods. On several occasions, Marwa was reportedly in meetings and unavailable to respond despite the urgency and stress of the situation we were already facing. What was especially disappointing was that when I attempted to raise concerns regarding the handling of the case, George SK became unavailable and never returned my requests for a callback. From our perspective, many of the expectations and assurances discussed at the start were ultimately not fulfilled. The overall experience did not reflect the level of service, responsiveness, or support that had initially been presented to us. We also felt that the image presented through their website and online reputation did not match the experience we personally had as clients. Based on our own experience, we would encourage others to conduct careful research and ask detailed questions before engaging their services. We hired this firm during an already stressful legal situation hoping for guidance and professional support, but unfortunately the process became even more stressful and frustrating for us. In the end, we did not feel that hiring the firm provided meaningful value for the time and money spent.
