These tests were part of an evaluation to determine my eligibility for vision‑correction surgery, and the process was seamless from start to finish. The highlight of my experience was my consultation with Dr. Miguel. After thoroughly reviewing all test results, he concluded that I do not currently need surgery — and what impressed me most was the honesty behind that decision. Instead of recommending a procedure I didn’t need, he took the time to understand my motivations, explain the medical reasoning in detail, and reassure me from a patient‑first perspective.It was clear that Dr. Miguel’s priority is improving patients’ everyday lives, not simply performing another surgery. I had my eye surgery at Moorfields and I’m very thankful for the experience. I was quite hesitant at the beginning, but Hala Asfour was truly exceptional. She was patient, caring, and very supportive. Her reassurance and professionalism made a big difference and helped me feel comfortable throughout the process. I would also like to sincerely thank Dr. Osama Jleidi for his experience and calm approach. He explained everything clearly and made me feel confident and at ease before and during the surgery. It was a pleasant experience going through the different diagnostic machines, and everything was handled smoothly and professionally. On the day of surgery, Dr. Miguel met with us again and explained the procedure in simple, easy-to-understand language without any medical jargon. He patiently listened to our concerns and addressed them, which was very reassuring. I was prepared for surgery by the lovely nurse Daisy, who was both kind and highly professional. The OT staff—Umeir, Jesse, and Rami—were also excellent and ensured that I was comfortable at all times. The surgery itself lasted less than 15 minutes. During the procedure, Dr. Miguel kept talking me through each step, letting me know what was happening next, which helped keep me calm throughout. After the surgery, I was taken care of by the wonderful nurse Nilda, who clearly explained all the post-surgery care instructions, prescriptions, and dosage details. A big thank you to all the staff members I interacted with—including those whose names I may have missed—for making this entire experience smooth, comfortable, and reassuring.

I had an exceptional experience at Moorfields Eye Hospital Dubai with the surgical team of Dr. Miguel Morcillo. Dr. Morcillo is not only an outstanding surgeon, but also an incredibly kind and human doctor who made me feel safe and reassured from the very beginning. I was extremely nervous before my eye surgery, but every single person I encountered treated me with such warmth, patience, and care that they completely changed the experience for me. A very special thank you goes to George, the anesthetist, who was truly extraordinary. From the moment I met him, he stayed by my side, calming me down, talking me through everything, holding my hand, and making sure I felt safe every second of the process. His kindness, empathy, humor, and human approach made an enormous difference on one of the most stressful days for me. I honestly cannot thank him enough. Tasneem at the front desk was also amazing, helping with all the insurance and administrative process so smoothly and always with a smile and genuine support. Rami was exceptional as well — he explained absolutely everything in detail, checked on me constantly, and cared for me as though I were his only patient. And the nurses, Nelda, Skyla, and Daisy, were incredibly sweet, attentive, and caring throughout the entire experience. The surgery went perfectly, and what could have been a frightening experience became something incredibly positive because of this team. The level of professionalism combined with genuine human warmth is rare to find. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
