REIF Japanese Kushiyaki - Dubai Hills

Reif is our favourite restaurant in Dubai. We live in Abu Dhabi and drive over an hour to come here because the food is SO good. Everything from the duck and beef gyoza to the spicy tuna maki roll and nigiri, then the Angus beef skewers (oh my goodness!) and the black cod we have every single time we come here. The kimchi edamame to start was also amazing. It may seem a lot for two people but the portions are just right. Thank you so much Reif for always delivering excellent, mouthwatering food, and a special thanks to Jefrey and Chris and the rest of the lovely team for being so friendly, welcoming and attentive. Reif Japanese Kushiyaki in Dubai Hills is truly a full experience from start to finish. The ambience is beautiful with a relaxing atmosphere, and the music is set at just the right level — perfect for a comfortable dining experience. The service was excellent, and the attention to detail was next level. Huge shout out to Maison and the rest of the team (including the trainee!) for maintaining such high standards of customer service. You can really feel the professionalism and care. Now let’s talk about the food — simply outstanding. • Melon & Cucumber Kimchi – very good and refreshing • Beef Gyoza – excellent • Ramen – absolutely outstanding • Wagyu Beef Rice – amazing, very high-quality meat For dessert, we tried the Mochi Coco Cherry and Vanilla Affogato — both were delicious 🤤 The location in Dubai Hills is great, and valet parking makes it very convenient. 💰 Price: Around 300 AED per person 📍 Location: Dubai Hills Highly recommended for anyone looking for top-quality Japanese cuisine in Dubai.

Reif Japanese Kushiyaki never disappoints. The vibe is relaxed and unpretentious, yet the food is seriously impressive. Every dish feels thoughtful and well-executed, with bold flavors and great attention to detail. The menu is perfect for sharing, the quality is consistently high, and the atmosphere makes it ideal for a casual night out without feeling boring. Service is friendly and smooth, and you genuinely feel the passion behind the concept. One of those places you keep coming back to — highly recommended.

Reif is a fantastic Japanese Kushiyaki place where the food is elegant and the service is on point. Everything is very tasty but we highly recommend the duck gyōza that were in our opinion even better than the beef ones. In terms of atmosphere is very nice, and you have astro boy literally everywhere.

Everything we ordered was delicious, the highlight was the mushroom rice clay pot and duck gyoza. The service was a bit hectic and the music was too loud and "pop"py for an evening dinner at a Japanese restaurnt. But, overall it was a pleasant experience The drinks were also good and Dubai "affordable" under 90aed. A definite recommended visit.

Honestly really disappointed with our experience today. We ordered quite a few dishes, and almost everything arrived cold. The only item that was slightly warm was the katsu chicken sando, but everything else felt like it had been sitting out for a while. On top of that, there were a lot of flies around, and I unfortunately found flies in my food, which was really off-putting and completely unacceptable. The hygiene overall was very concerning, the water glasses had a bad smell even after we changed them twice, so we ended up drinking directly from the bottle. One of the napkins was also dirty and full of oil. What made it worse is that instead of properly addressing the issue, we were offered lemonade as compensation. I’m not looking for complimentary items, I just expect fresh, hot food that I’m paying for. Overall, a very frustrating experience and definitely not what we expected.

Excellent set menu from some amazing chefs who have come to Dubai to deliver an extraordinary dinner for a special romantic occasion. The staff were friendly and very accommodating to our needs.
