I recently applied to donate some of my furniture to DCA. The items were in very good condition, and I chose to donate them so they could be reused by others rather than sold or discarded. After submitting the request, it took a few days for the team to contact me. They asked for additional details, then requested the location and preferred pickup date. Once everything was confirmed, communication stopped completely. No one showed up on the scheduled day, and my follow up messages went unanswered for more than two weeks. During this time, my new furniture arrived, leaving me with no space at home while I waited for an update. Eventually, after many attempts to reach them, I received a message simply suggesting that I donate the items elsewhere. The experience was disappointing. Donating should be a smooth and encouraging process, but the lack of follow through and communication made it unnecessarily difficult. I genuinely hope this feedback helps improve the service, as the idea behind the initiative is valuable and deserves proper attention, but some people within the cooperation don’t value this and don’t value people’s time and efforts.

Thrift for good is a charity shop in Dubai which raises funds to support childen all over the world by selling items which might be unwanted by someone but useful to others. It was my 16 years old daughter Riya, who found this information on the net and persisted me to visit the shop. So we drove all the way from Abu Dhabi to Palm Jumeirah in Dubai. They have two shops, both in Dubai, one in Golden miles galleria building no. 8 in Palm Jumeirah and the other in Times Square mall. There is no outlet in Abu Dhabi. It had clothes, imitation jewellery, bags, purses, dresses, books, shoes and many other miscellaneous items of decoration. You can also donate your things or/and purchase to contribute your share to the noble cause. It represents the three ‘R’s policy of Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. I am proud of my daughter for her noble gesture which has awakened the good in me and I have decided to donate some of my things which I do not need but may be of use to others. It made me happy to see this act of kindness inculcate in the young minds to support and help the deprived. I would recommend all to visit this shop and contribute to make this world a better place to live.

Was happity to find a second hand clothing store in Dubai! This place was a total treasure in this city of ultimate overconsumption! Money spent on these clothes is used again in various education, health care and housing-projects around the world. During my stay I have bought only one piece of clothing and it was from here 👌. I hope shops like this could spread around Dubai. I also wish there would be more advanced clothing recycle system in the city. The prices of this store were a bit higher compared to second hand stores in Scandinavia, but still very cheap compared to buying brand new clothing. I highly recommend! 👌

the foundation is great they help all the patient that need help. But not the employee specially in dubai hospital the social worker department there she not doing her job properly. She is shouting all the cancer patient. some of patient was going back there for 6 months and still not helping or approve. and they have scenario that. the lady in social worker delete the file of the patient and she will tell in the patient there are no email or file under your name. Hope give some action h to that employee

I highly encourage anyone that can to volunteer to hand out iftar meals to the people who keep our home (Dubai) clean and growing. The location is in Al Quoz and there is ample parking in a sand lot across from the distribution area. The operation is fairly organized and moves quickly (as long as the volunteers move according to the protocols given in the beginning). This is a wonderful opportunity to give back. Thank you to those within The Giving Family for this!

I have travelled to Nepal and Ethiopia with GFG. Both amazing experiences/destinations shared with amazing participants, while getting to meet the locals, enjoy the food and learn about their culture. The highlight is the children we get to bond with while helping to raise awareness and funds to support their education and well being. GFG ‘s attention to detail means a seamless and safe trip for all. I cannot recommend this experience more highly….just do it!

A wonderful experience, pushing you out of your comfort zone to help disadvantaged children. Gulf for Good have great experience organising these challenges & seeing the how well organised the challenge was once we arrived to our destination was really reassuring. Also to meet the children that you have raised money for is very special. The overall experience was one I will never forget or regret , it was very rewarding with some magical memories made.

I participated in the Annapurna Base Camp Trek in April 2017, and WOW. This was amazing – great group, fantastic hike, and all to support kids in Nepal. It was really a touching, truly unforgettable journey and a wonderful way to do some good.

I’m in a very bad situation regarding debt recovery from a person and financial abuse from him, and first thing they answered me – dear, we don’t provide with financial support. I wasn’t seeking for money from them, I was just in need of professional help and support and guidelines of what I can do next in my situation. Anyway, horrible experience.

I called for help with a very sensitive and urgent matter and the call center employee was extremely dismissive and unprofessional. She did not show any empathy and just basically shut me off.

I wanted to give you pencil cases with protractors, pencils, stuffed animals, and chocolate, and you tell me that you have enough of these materials, asking for amusement park tickets. I read the comments and people need even less.

No use, this foundation is only operating for fund collection and it will not help. Dont waste your time to contact them. They only can hear you if your european or locals. They dont accept asians and related nationalities. So, expats avoid to contact them

We had a great experience with Ms.Anita, who has been very dedicated in helping out with a postive outcome by taking a holistic approach considering the wellbeing of all parties involved. Appreciate her hardwork. Really thankful to DFWAC and Dubai govenment for the great humanitarian efforts.

I have a very positive outcome with the sessions I had with Ms. Anita. She also arranged animal assisted therapy sessions with the horses; which helped me gain more confidence and it was a boost to my self esteem – Dubai mounted police paddock activity.
