I got to visit the RAK Animal Welfare Centre today and it will be the most memorable sunday I will ever have in my university journey. I got to volunteer and help take care of various animals that are being taken care of by the RAK Animal Welfare Centre, huge thanks to them for having us and keeping these animals safe and well taken care of. I was blessed enough to play and feed dogs and cats, walk them around, and even meet a horse and few goats. I developed a quick connection with the helpers at the shelter as well and they trusted me with certain dogs that were tougher to handle. I have had experience with dogs since my family and friends always had them, so it was easy to connect with the dogs as well and they have so much love and joy to give.

I had such a heartfelt experience with this place. I rescued a small kitten but unfortunately couldn’t keep it, and bringing it here truly gave me so much peace of mind. The space was clean, beautiful, and clearly well cared for, but what stood out the most was the staff. They were incredibly kind, understanding, and genuinely compassionate. Such a wonderful way to spend a couple of hours giving some love to these precious souls, I highly recommend this as a worthy weekend activity!!! Thank you RAKAWC for doing such a wonderful job!! Many of these cats and dogs are abandoned / rescued and are waiting for their forever homes. Spending time with them, playing, giving them some company makes a big difference ❤️ When you visit you can spend time with the outdoor cats, indoor cats and the dogs in the dog park. All animals are clearly well looked after and the staff all seem very diligent. The cleanliness and organisation of the centre including the enclosures is clearly of a very high standard. I spent a lot of time with the indoor cats – there are about three in each room and most of them you can go into and in one section you can let them out into the corridor. I was quite comfortable sitting on the floor with them as it was so clean. A few cats were a bit timid and stayed away but the majority were super affectionate and playful. There are wands hanging on the wall for playing, which they love, and there are also sanitizer dispensers inside and outside. There are a few dog enclosures which the staff seem to switch the dogs between for exercise and socialisation. The big dog area is fantastic – there were a bunch of very friendly dogs that you can run and play with or take for a walk on a leash. They also have a dog pool. And some goats too! If anyone is considering fostering or adopting but isn’t yet sure, this is the perfect way to test it out and to meet a variety of different personalities. Also great for kids if you don’t have pets at home. It’s amazing to have such a great support for abandoned and reduced animals in the UAE. RAKAWC does an amazing job for so many animals in need. Inshallah these beautiful souls will all find homes soon 🙏🙏🙏 In the meantime, giving some time to these cats and dogs means the world to them. We went to this salon for grooming a couple of times. The first time was at 3 months, and the second time at 4 months. And after the last haircut, the puppy’s eyes became swollen and pus appeared. (During this time of year, like summer, we practically never took her outside, and if we did, only near the house for a maximum of 5-10 minutes for socialization.) We went to the vet and it turned out that we had an infection that is impossible to get on the street or at home. The puppy’s muzzle became inflamed (bloody blisters) and the pus from his eyes kept growing. So our puppy still hasn’t recovered, although it’s been more than a month. Our puppy was on antibiotic ointments and steroids, and we still can’t get rid of this infection. Plus, we spent a lot of time and money on it. And most importantly, now we need to feed the dog only hypoallergenic food. Since this infection has destroyed our immunity, the puppy will now be susceptible to allergies for the rest of his life. We’re considering filing a claim. We’ve spent a lot of time and money on treatment, and we’ll be forced to feed our dog only hypoallergenic food for the rest of his life.

Joshua at pet boutique did a wonderful job grooming my dog. He was professional, friendly, and took great care of the brief of how I wanted my dog to look after the haircut. This was the first time I used pet sitting services. We were really concerned for a number of reasons. Safety, security and obviously our cat’s comfort and peace of mind. Our trip started really hectic and we didn’t even meet our assigned sitter, Isurika before she came to look after our cat. Needless to say she was SO accommodating that we managed everything through whatsapp, she gave me constant reports (4 or even 6 video/photo reports per day). I cannot stress enough how satisfied I am with the services of the company as a whole and especially recommend Isurika for your pet sitting needs. From the first moment until the last I felt comfortable and could see through all the videos that so was my furry friend back home. I honestly feel my cat missed her more when she left, than she missed us while we were gone. 5/5 and then some!!

In our 16 years in Dubai, we’ve tried many pet-sitting services – most of the time, I ended up disappointed. From our alcohol stock being curiously depleted to mysteriously finding a pair of pants in our kitchen – it has been one bizarre, disappointing experience after another. Typically I resorted to asking friends or co-workers to assist, but they all have families now. So the search commenced once again, and I was encouraged by the plethora of top-tier reviews Pawland had garnered. The process was simple. Made an inquiry, provided the necessary information, and they sent me an invoice, and scheduled our sitter for an introductory meeting a day before our departure. We met Ruffy, and immediately we noticed her calm, gentle demeanor which certainly put us at ease. She explained precisely her routine, inquired whether our cats had any medical conditions or special needs, and whether we had any specific instructions or requirements. The entire visit lasted about 30 minutes and the result was our confidence that our furballs were in good hands. And that they were! We embarked on a 10 day journey – the longest we’ve ever been apart from our critters – and every single day, Ruffy sent us a steady stream of detailed pictures and videos of our happy, healthy cats, as well as noting whenever they were mischievous. It was only a matter of days before they grew accustomed to her – and our furballs are notorious for their aversion to strangers. This certainly speaks to her friendly and caring nature. Ruffy even assisted with a few extra requests of ours, such as changing the pet pads we had lined throughout our apartment due to one of our cats refusing to use the litter box. She even organized the packages we received while we were away to ensure our curious critters wouldn’t tear them open. Leaving our furbabies in the past always left us anxious, but Ruffy’s constant care and vigilance kept us at ease and we were able to enjoy our first vacation in 6 years, stress-free! When we returned, our apartment was immaculate, including the notoriously messy feeding area and bathroom where our 2 litter boxes are nestled. It was a pleasure to have one less errand to worry about upon returning exhausted from a long journey! My wife and I couldn’t have been happier with her service, and can wholeheartedly recommend Pawland for your pet sitting needs! They are reasonably priced, and ultimately the knowledge that your furry family members are in good, caring hands is truly priceless!

Christy took great care of my dog, he sent 2 videos every day and ensured that my dog had good play time, ate food at the correct time and was comfortable in the room. However, the place has very limited facilities for dogs. They have a big room with a tiled floor where the dogs just walk around – there’s no active play time, no dog obstacle equipments like a tunnel, poles, hoops etc. There rooms also are not equipped with a camera.

This is not the first time I have taken my cat to grooming at this location, but this time I was very disturbed by what I saw. The grooming room was extremely loud — cats and dogs together, constant noise, and loud music playing. This environment is very stressful for animals. I even had to ask the staff to lower the music. Grooming spaces should be calm and safe for animals, not noisy and chaotic. The hairdryer they use is also extremely loud, like a large vacuum blowing air, which is very frightening for cats. What upset me the most was the way the animals were handled. I saw cats being grabbed and their legs pulled in different directions while they were being dried and groomed. It did not look gentle or caring. My cat was extremely stressed after the visit. On the way home she was vomiting, drooling, and shaking. Since yesterday she hasn’t been eating and has been sleeping all day. Animals are already stressed when they are taken out of their homes, and grooming should be done in the calmest and most caring way possible. Horrible experience felt very traumatic for my cat. Never again!

I can’t think DKC enough for the care they took of my little cat Luna. Luna boarded with DKC for several months whilst getting ready to move from Dubai to New Zealand. I was devastated to be away from her so long but DKC were amazing at sending photos and updates – even as the international situation deteriorated in the region – and I could tell from what they said that they both knew my pet really well and genuinely cared about her. I loved that Luna could play outdoors in the Catio and that she made both people and pet friends during her stay. DKC also oversaw Luna’s journey to New Zealand – the paperwork and rules for importing an animal to NZ is even more complicated than most other countries so I’m SO glad I had a professional and experienced team to do this on my behalf. When we moved to Dubai we actually used a different pet relocation company so I can say with experience that DKC are the best for communication and professionalism. Luna is now back with us and settled in SO quickly. Just like she as never apart from us. I can’t believe it! She arrived super healthy and well cared for…. maybe too well cared for as she now miaows very loudly the second she’s used her litter tray. I cannot recommend Dubai Kennels & Cattery highly enough. They recently helped move my dog, Jack, from Dubai to New Zealand, a process that is notoriously difficult and stressful, and the entire experience was exceptional from start to finish. Shaila was absolutely amazing from the very first step. She met with me personally, assessed Jack and his travel crate, and immediately put me at ease, confident that he was in the best hands. She took care of every detail, including booking all the necessary vet appointments, handling the extensive paperwork, and organizing quarantine arrangements in New Zealand. I brought my cat here because I was told surgery was necessary and trusted their advice. I paid around AED 5,000, expecting proper treatment for my cat. Later, I discovered that what was done did not match what I believed I was paying for. I became very concerned after seeing the invoice mention bandaging instead of surgery. When I asked for a clear explanation and proof, my questions were ignored and my messages were avoided. As a pet owner, this was heartbreaking and stressful. I felt misled, overcharged, and disrespected. Taking money from worried owners without clear transparency is unacceptable. I strongly advise people to ask for written proof, detailed reports, and full explanations before agreeing to treatment at this clinic. Based on my experience, I do not recommend this place at all. very very bad experience just eating our money with our proper treatment

This vet clinic is charging double in everything. The grooming is not like before they did not even put shampoo it’s just literally water. I will never recommend & definitely not going back in this clinic. They don’t deserve even 1 star.

⚠️ Attention ⚠️ I want to leave a special review for this clinic. Please do NOT take your pets here. The Arabic receptionist (with big lashes) is a major scammer. She will try her best to trap you, quote very high charges, and even after offering a «discount,» you’ll still end up paying an excessive amount.she will keep insisting you by emotionally blackmailing you that » haram its ur pet you should do this and that». She is in a hurry to take all ur money from you specially when they sense that a person is emotional for their pet. I took my bunny there because it had a fall. The doctor checked and said there was no fracture, yet they still insisted on doing an X-ray and charged me 450. After that, they told me my bunny needed to be hospitalized for 3 days for no valid reason, even though it clearly wasn’t necessary. I refused. Then they gave two injections and charged me 550, even though the same full bottle of those injections is available outside for around 25. I regret going to this clinic because the other clinic changed me only 240 for meds,vitamins,injections and consultation.They are so desperate to take ur money. They will force you to leave ur pet there and charge you so much and even after that they will keep charging you.The receptionist and the doctors are well trained in scaming people. Later, I took my bunny to another veterinary clinic and explained the entire situation. Every vet there confirmed that this clinic is a complete scam. Please be careful and you can clearly feel the scamming behavior and fishy behavior when u go there.

I highly recommend Dogventure HQ! The team is incredibly professional, caring, and truly passionate about dogs — like one big loving family, which is felt in the way every pet is treated. A wonderful staff and even a great swimming pool make this place extra special, and my dog absolutely loves it. My girl always enjoys spending time there, playing and socializing. I’ve also used the boarding service during my vacation, and I felt completely at ease — the rooms are clean, cozy, and equipped with 24/7 cameras. Most importantly, my dog came back happy, well cared for, and relaxed. Thank you for such amazing service! 🐾

After living in Dubai for 15 years and having golden retrievers as part of my family for most of that time, I have tried so many different daycares. By far Dog Adventure HQ are simply the best, the team are professional, prompt, caring, excellent communicators and most importantly they have love for dogs. My two Golden’s absolutely love to go here and run for pick up. It’s so easy to tell that they are well looked after and exercised – they come home exhausted. I can’t recommend this place enough and trust them 100%.

Dogventure is amazing! My dog absolutely loves going there, and the staff are so loving and caring with all the dogs. It makes me really happy to see how excited she gets every time we arrive. I also love that they give the dogs plenty of exercise and playtime. She comes home tired, happy, and satisfied every single time. Since going to Dogventure, she has become much more social and calmer at home too. Highly recommend them to any dog parent looking for a safe, fun, and caring place for their pet.

We are parent of Kai , a loving golden retreiver and also he is our first pet. we wanted Kai to be happy and we got in touch with Dog venture and it was really a good experience after leaving kai with them. The trainers helped us and updated us with every improvement during the training. Trainers Mr. Kite and Mr.Justine were really supportive and gave us many tips how to raise the pet.

We’ve been leaving our dogs at Dogventure HQ for the past 4 years whenever we go on vacation, and it’s always been an amazing experience. We never have to worry about our dogs while we’re away, because the staff sends us daily updates. It’s so comforting to see how they’re sleeping, eating, and relaxing in their own room. The team that takes care of the dogs is incredibly kind, energetic, and truly loves what they do — and our dogs absolutely adore them. The reception staff is also very friendly and always helpful. We once had an unexpected situation and couldn’t return to Dubai on time, and they were very understanding and allowed us to extend our dogs’ stay without any issues. We love this place. I brought my dog Hera over here to socialize. She’s still 11 months and even though she’s big, she’s scared. The staff is taking such good care of her and keeps updating me and sending me pictures which is reassuring. They are patient, plays with her, watch after her. We are at ease when we leave our little pup in My buddy pet care. This is the third time we kept our pup while we were away.They have great facilities and care for everything you need for your pet. The team is extremely careful when it comes to your pet’s health and wellbeing. They give you updates every day with the pictures and videos. They will always seek your permission before they they take any action . You can trust them with your pet and that’s a huge relief when you are out of the country. From the reception to the groomer, each and everyone is attentive and you can see that they really care for your pet. Special mention to Mr.Nilan who took great care of peanut.He was there when we kept peanut for the first time at DIP branch. He is an amazing care taker to peanut. Peanut have had a great time with him and the team. Most importantly she was happy and healthy when we took her back. So thank you Nilan and the whole team for taking a good care of our peanut. I’ve been sending my dog to My Buddy Pet Care for the past 5 years. I adopted him from a shelter so he an anxious dog but he absolutely loves this place. I use them for boarding, day care, grooming and even use their transport service. I know he loves it there cause he jumps out of the car with excitement. The staff is so attentive and always let us know if he has any issues and sends us regular updates through the day. Highly recommend!
