Excellent experience at the Romanian Consulate. The lady who assisted me was very helpful and professional, and the security staff was also respectful and friendly. I received my visit visa successfully. Thank you for the great service and smooth process.

Dealing with this institution has a kafkaesque feeling, filled with absurd interactions (that if you can actually get a contact of them) marked by blatant lying, incompetence, delaying and requirements which they then discard. It would all seem a comedy if you just watched from distance, but having to interact with them it will only leave you with a profound sense of disgust.

Consulate staff treat visitors very poorly, often speaking in loud voices and shouting. This is especially true of the employee in charge of passport collection. Additionally, the security guards also shout at visitors. It is hard to understand how they can behave this way when they are supposed to represent their country. I strongly urge the officials in charge to take this matter into consideration and address it.

It's stated on eviza.mae.ro that you need to apply for visa not more than 2 months, before the trip. But wge I arrived in person the said that before I get a slot for appointment I need to have my documents to process, that there is no slots for next month and then they do 22 days of visa processing. As a bottom lime you need to apply at least 4 months before maybe more, that's not good at all.

I want to express my gratitude towards the lady that called me 3 consecutive time to help me ASAP and get a prompt reply on my emails with the USEFUL details that helped me to get everything ready for my mother in law visa . Even I did some mistakes she had been a beautiful lady , kind and caring. Best wishes !
