Great and efficient service at the Azerbaijan Consulate in Dubai. I needed to issue a Power of Attorney for my brother in Azerbaijan, and due to urgency, they processed my request even before my scheduled appointment. The staff was helpful, understanding, and very quick. Highly recommended for anyone needing consular services.
The service was extremely disappointing. They were unable to provide any real assistance and kept changing rules without updating their website or official pages. When asked for clarification, they simply said I should have called before booking, even though their own website clearly stated that travel was allowed. I will never travel to this country again, I lost all my money and the hotel refused to refund the amount, stay away from them!
I just wanted to share some feedback about the six-month Emirates ID validity requirement for travellers. My flight was cancelled because my ID didn’t meet this rule, and there was no refund with Azerbeijan Airlines. It’s quite disappointing, especially when other countries like Uzbekistan accept travellers with only three months’ validity left. I really hope the consulate can review this policy and consider making it more flexible. Many residents plan short trips and are fully valid UAE residents, so it feels unnecessary to require six months’ validity when our Emirates IDs are government-issued and digitally verifiable. A bit of adjustment to this rule would make travelling to your country much easier and more welcoming for visitors
I am very disappointed with the treatment I received from a staff member at the embassy ( Arabic lady ) . The lady I spoke with was disrespectful and provided misleading information. When I called to inquire about the documents needed for my visa application, she listed some items I should prepare. I gathered everything and returned the next day for my appointment, only to be told that I was still missing travel insurance. I informed her that I already had insurance with valid coverage. However, she insisted that I needed to purchase a new policy and pay $20 to the embassy account. I complied and returned the following day with all the required documents, but then she informed me that the visa process takes 7 to 10 days, and my flight is in just 5 days. I asked her why she hadn’t mentioned this earlier, as it would have saved me time and money, especially since she had already reviewed my flight ticket and hotel booking. Her response was that she could refund the $20 I had deposited. I urgently request that you take action regarding this situation, as she was unable to provide me with proper information and was unprofessional in her communication. Thank you.
I've visited the consulate for one of the critical situations that raised before my travel to Azerbaijan because of ID expiry, they were so welcoming and supportive and tried their best to accommodate me and issue my visa as soon as they can. They made my trip happens in no time. All the appreciation to the consul and to the lady who handles the visitors. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
